POST 7435 HISTORY

VFW Post 7435 located in Hale, Michigan next to the Hale Hardware Store just south of the stop light, was chartered by a group of local war veterans in 1979. This organization purchased an abandoned factory building in the local community shortly thereafter and made extensive renovations to this building in order to turn it into their post home. To fund the post and its endeavors it has over the years received many donations and conducted many community fund raisers which include holding two weekly community bingo’s on Thursday and Sunday evenings. The post not only houses the VFW and its Auxiliary but also the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 882 and its associates. We sponsor and contribute too many community activities which include local schools, scouting events, parades and flag raising ceremonies as well as monetary contributions to local causes. We honor our country’s fallen war dead by service to the living and providing military honors at funeral services. We serve both the veteran community as well as many public causes that our membership deems as important. Our membership is comprised of WW II, Korea, Vietnam, Panama, Iraq and Afghanistan war veterans. It is important for returning veterans of all conflicts to have a venue to socialize with veterans both past and present and continue serving the public need. We remain committed to our cause.
